Voice communications between the Chief Mechanical Engineer Maintenance Department (Drogheda) and the Driver were not recorded as required by the Traffic Regulators’ Manual; as such the RAIU make the following safety recommendation:
Iarnród Éireann (Infrastructure Manager) should re-brief Traffic Regulators on the importance of adhering to the Traffic Regulators’ Manual in relation to the recording of all telephone conversations within the controlled environment.
