As a result of Driver E240’s over-reliance on the ATP System, and apparent lack of understanding on the part of the DTEs’ understanding of the OTDR downloads, the RAIU make the following safety recommendation:

Recommendation
The Head of Health & Safety IÉ-RU should arrange for the development of a briefing for DTEs on analysis of driving trends by use of the OTDR.
