The Limited Shunter alighted out of a moving train to pull Points 6. The RAIU consider
that this should be re-briefed to all staff due to the potential severity of injury as a result of
alighting from a moving train, as a result the RAIU make the following safety recommendation:
Iarnród Éireann (Railway Undertaking) Chief Mechanical Engineer's Department should re-brief staff on the correct procedure for disembarking from a moving train.
